Sometimes I hate being the way that I am. My family used to get so mad because I "don't look at the world realistically." Just because I see and "openly acknowledge" (translation: am a loud-mouthed-bitch about) the way we all should be and am angered, saddened, and disgusted by the way we actually are, doesn't mean that I don't see what is. Just because I can make choices that are truly distasteful, that sear the very core of my soul, and continue to get by on a day-to-day basis, doesn't mean that I am sub-human. Just because I don't believe that the current Democratic system can continue in the way that it has, doesn't mean that I am anti-the-country-that-I-love and anti-freedom. Just pragmatic, idealistic, and future-forward. All human ideals fall. In the end. There is not a damn thing that lasts forever. No ideal, no belief, no politics or form of government, no life is forever. The harder we all fight that fact, the more we prove just how unevolved we really are.
I really am just, ultimately, realistic - without trying to hold "my people" to be better than we are. I know how the world is, how people are, how I am, and I'm not afraid or ashamed to admit it; We ALL Naaaaaaaasty Pricks. Getting pissy about the truth doesn't change it. I don't subtract myself from the equation. Oh, boy. Have I ever F.U.B.A.R.'ed, more than my fair share. If that's all it takes to be damned, I pity those of you who don't see it coming. I know what I am. As a race, we tend toward denigrating, smug, self-righteous, and judgmental (human race, not some dumb-ass division, decided by something as dumb-ass the color of your 'tan'). All the things that God (Allah, Buddha, higher-flipping-power,...) hates. That seems to go doubly for 3/4 of the "religious." If you say "That's not me;" it is. The true "Meek" who shall inherit the Earth will never be assured, until they reap what they have truly sown; they won't ever bother to consider it- not once. If you are assured of your righteousness and rightness, you are SO screwed. I don't care what dumb-ass 'religion' you belong to, whose child you are, or what 'color' you are. Truth and faith have nothing to do with religion and everything to do with "true faith"- duh. Our few redeeming traits remain; our wanton and random humanities toward others; our (usually mutual) need to perform acts that we define as "our good samaritanship (good deed for the day)" and brag about, because it is, after all, a fashionable thing to do. We do have our moments of true nobility. Too bad we spend so much time touting ourselves for it, once We realize that it is good P.R. Hey rich jack-holes, try not advertising any of the good you do. Let those bastard paparazzo members earn their money and report some good for once! Hey, you who think donating to the S.P.C.A. once, and wear a shirt oh, so proudly, for the next couple of years, get a fricking grip! How about a real change? Like, in the WAY we think!?!

It's political season!!! All the votes are in!!! A big deal is being made and a new count will be reaffirmed in the morning!!! Here is how screwed up and faithless I am; I voted only for names that I did not recognize, except for DelGrosso. He was the only person I received mail from that addressed any issues and did not mention one word of smear against anyone else. Again, in the mail I received. At that point, even his beliefs didn't matter. He was the only person in any of the races who was behaving in a manner worthy of the races, or any of the positions, in my view. I fully realize that not all views are going to agree. I can vote for someone whose basic views I whole-heartedly agree with and not agree with most of their decisions. I can vote for a policy that I hate, if I think, really think, that it benefits society (rare, but not unknown). I can vote against something that I think we need, if I believe that the plan laid out is fundamentally screwed (Health-Care).They aren't going to make me happy all of the time, they won't make anyone happy all of the time, but politics is a circus at this point. When was the last time that politics was actually about the greater good of the nation? When was the last time that US Corporate Policy tried to really enforce US job creation and overseas outsourcing/production/quality restrictions? Undemocratic! Un-Capitalistic! OH! HEY! By The Way! Democracy is supposed to help to provide a basic level of expected support, if democracy is going to increasingly support programs through the publics' moneys.
So, since we did NOT receive all of the services that all of the added and "better defined" taxes, laws, Constitutional amendments, Propositions, restrictions, Agencies, Regulatories, and Educational Reforms promised over the last 100 years, or so, what have we achieved? We can not agree to have ONE, legal, expected to be learned for membership (too funny, when you consider that English is the primary second language to learn, WORLDWIDE) language in this nation. It is not a matter of racism or bias, but of a standard of communication. Home prices were/are inflated to the point of stupidity (and that still hasn't been rectified). Our education system is going down the toilet faster and faster (although 'administrative' positions seem to earn more than the ones who do the hands-on work). We have huge amounts of debt and the only answer seems to be to screw over the majority of the American people (the poorest of us) while we HAND OUT money to other countries, bribe officials, and hand elected representatives pay checks for amounts they don't deserve (and most of them don't actually need). We have some of the highest job loss numbers we have ever had, job creation is a joke, and the government believes that cutting aid to the citizenry is a good way to go!? And lately they're bitching that birth numbers are down. Yup. Them there folks on that there Capitol Hill have been doing such a good job.

Does it Matter What I Think?
It's political season!!! All the votes are in!!! A big deal is being made and a new count will be reaffirmed in the morning!!! Here is how screwed up and faithless I am; I voted only for names that I did not recognize, except for DelGrosso. He was the only person I received mail from that addressed any issues and did not mention one word of smear against anyone else. Again, in the mail I received. So, since we did NOT receive all of the services that all of the added and "better defined" taxes, laws, Constitutional amendments, Propositions, restrictions, Agencies, Regulatories, and Educational Reforms promised over the last 100 years, or so, what have we achieved? Hospitals, Clinics, Museums, Banks, and Social Agencies are all funded with public money, but you had better be illegal, have screwed millions out of mi$$ions, or have figured out how to work the system for what you do not deserve, before you can get any help. God forbid that you ask for just the help you need, or just try being honest. Hell, at this point, our system is geared all the way around toward corruption. For Crimin-iddly-sake! We have made damn near any naturally stupid mistake and any accident in to either a criminal or civilly-liable offense!!!! We are finger-pointy-self-important-to-the-point-of-ego-maniacal-want-everyone-but-ME-to-be-a-clone-of-me-tighter-the-fist-the-more-slips-through-the-fingers type of stupid-asses, these days.
We can not agree to have ONE, legal, expected to be learned for membership (too funny, when you consider that English is the primary second language to learn, WORLDWIDE) language, in this nation. It is not a matter of "the melting pot." It is a unity factor, WHILE we should still encourage multiple-language skills. And I Do Mean Multiple. We need less criminality in some ways, and stronger punishment, with actual treatment in others. It is time to bring back spanking, in the justice system as well. We can't force therapy on an inmate? We can't force education? We can't force inmates to express themselves in constructive ways and use privileges as rewards? I don't have cable. Why do any of them? Why are inmates not required to work in positions that maintain their surroundings? Why should my tax dollars? Let them maintain their conditions. If they want to have decent conditions, then it should be worth personal effort, especially since it teaches a trade. You want a balanced diet? Grow gardens. Low security prisons could do some of that cattle-handing and a self-sustaining supply chain could be instituted. No working out on weights in order to intimidate others, muck a flipping stall! They have given up their rights, right? Make damn sure that every one of them boys and girls can read and write with a minimum proficiency, even if they might need real help or force to learn! They should not have more rights than their victims; and there had better be real victims, or our justice system is a........Oh, hell, never mind. They do not have the right to perpetuate the ignorance that probably is a good part of the reason that they fell back on crime.
Time's Up!
So many thoughts, so little time. I will be back, but it is Statistics and Small Business Management season, so this rant is, dum, dum, dum (ain't I punny)- To Be Continued!
